Even if you do not hire Search Dogs you will need a strategic plan of action, materials, supplies, manpower and professional advice.  You need to be highly organized and know how to utiilize everything and eveyone to your highest benefit.  Most pets do NOT come home on their own.  A lot of people give up after about one week - THIS IS A BIG MISTAKE!

I train Ellie Mae, Apache and Glory on a regular basis and continually set up advanced trailing problems for them.  Ellie Mae has passed a difficult Certification test given by an award-winning Bloodhound handler.  As a team, we have had many "finds!".

My second  Bloodhound, Glory (working a case below) has been in constant training since she was six weeks old.  She has worked many cases and established the correct Direction of Travel (DOT) which was crucial in locating eye witnesses. She has also had many "walk-up finds"...

.

My service is designed to narrow down and target your search area and implement Search Mangement Techniques such as Ground Search & Rescue, Profiling, Search Theory & Probability, Animal Movement, Grid Searching and more.  I have found more than half of the owners that have lost their pets are searching in the wrong direction wasting valuable search time!  They are also utilizing incorrect resources!!!

Search Dogs are used as scent-based detection tools and can produce critical information in the recovery of a lost pet. Using Search dogs can help tell a story of what happened to your pet and how to proceed from there.  Over and over again my Bloodhounds, Ellie Mae and Glory provide a Direction of Travel (DOT) which targets a search area.  Depending on what they and our other specially trained K9's indicate,  tells us how to proceed from that point.

Glory working a lost dog case which resulted in locating a crucial eye witness....2008
Glory working in the rain!  This was another case where she led to within 600 ft. of a green space near the 101 freeway. There was too much traffic to continue safely working our team of dogs.  However, with the use of other techniques, the dog we were looking for was spotted in the green space and picked up by Animal Control.  The dog was returned to the owner the next day!    2008

Our team of Search Dogs helped to locate Roxy when she went missing during fireworks on July 4th, 2008.  She pushed open a gate and had not been seen in 4 days.  Rick & Renee had been searching in the wrong direction and too close to home.
